The macro & markets workspace for the self-directed.

Read the regime, validate signals across 50+ years of history, and track positions in the macro context that matters — without juggling five tabs and ten paid subscriptions.

What you get done

Three jobs, one workspace.

Macroscope is built around the actual decisions self-directed investors make — not around the marketing categories of data vendors.

Read the regime, fast

A 7-signal composite labels the current US macro environment. Yield curve, HY spread, VIX, leading index — scored and combined. Plus a back-filled timeline and "historically similar months".

Validate before risking capital

Build a rule. Walk every month-end of NASDAQ history. See hit rate, average forward return at +30 / +90 / +180 days, and an equity curve. Discipline beats conviction.

Track positions in context

Live P&L, vs-benchmark, sector + country concentration, correlation matrix. Plus alerts that fire on the things actually worth watching — z-score crossings, divergences, regime flips.

A typical session

From a regime read to a backtested signal in 90 seconds.

No spreadsheets, no copy-paste, no twenty open tabs. The data is already there.

  1. 1 Open Regime. Look at the 7 signals. See where the composite sits and which lights are red.
  2. 2 Cross-check the macro. VIX + HY spread + OECD G20 leading indicator — every series ships with its own context blurb.
  3. 3 Backtest the thesis. "HY spread > 4.5 AND VIX rising 3 months." 53 signals since 1996, 79% hit rate at 90 days.
  4. 4 Set the alert, walk away. Cooldown-aware fires land in the events feed. Pro tier gets digest emails (coming soon).

FAQ

Things people ask first.

Is this a brokerage?

No. Macroscope is a research and tracking tool. It doesn't execute trades, hold custody, or recommend specific positions. You bring your own broker.

Where does the data come from?

Free public sources only — FRED, OECD, Eurostat, BLS, EDGAR, Finnhub, Twelve Data. We normalize and index, but everything is auditable back to its primary source.

How is this different from a Bloomberg / TradingView?

Smaller surface, much smaller price, and built around a specific workflow: regime → signal → position. We don't try to be a generalist data terminal.

Can I plug it into my own tools?

Yes. Pro tier includes personal API keys with a 1000 req/min limit. Same JSON endpoints the web app uses — drop them straight into n8n, a notebook, or your own dashboard.

Why invite-only?

To keep response times tight while we tune capacity. Apply via the pricing page and we'll get back to you within 1–2 business days.

Is my watchlist private?

Yes. Watchlists, alerts and saved screens are scoped to your user account. We don't sell or surface anonymized order flow.

Stop juggling tabs.
